Bindoola Experience / Cattle Muster Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at Kununurra Airport. Welcomed by local Home Valley Station guides guests are transferred to the Station Homestead by road, 55kms
along the scenic Great Northern Highway (sealed road) and a further 69kms along the famous Gibb River Road (unsealed road).
On arrival,
guests are provided refreshments as their hosts escort each guest to their Grass Castle - Home Valley's premium level of accommodation.
Time to explore the Homestead surrounds or simply rest on the verandah with a cool drink enjoying views over the idyllic Bindoola Creek.
All guests are provided their own Adventure Schedule detailing their activities for the ensuing four days. Dinner tonight is in the Dusty
Bar & Grill, enjoying authentic Kimberley entertainment.
Day 2
Breakfast is served as room service on your private verandah or within the Dusty Bar & Grill Restaurant prior to a half-day over-water
adventure, exploring the mighty Pentecost River and west arm of the Cambridge Gulf. Guests are welcomed aboard an HV8 marine craft to
begin their hunt for barramundi or simply to take in the raw beauty of the Kimberley's prolific wildlife. This half-day Guided Tour
departs early morning and incorporates a delicious morning tea served at a private and picturesque location. The adventure continues on
before returning to the Homestead in time for lunch. Departure times may vary in accordance to the changing tides, ensuring the best
chance of a successful fishing trip.
After lunch and a relaxing siesta it is time to take an invigorating dip in the rock pools beneath the enchanting Bindoola Falls. Relax
and enjoy while having a yarn with your HV8 Guide, returning in time to refresh and change for dinner which is served at the Homestead's
Dusty Bar & Grill. Guests enjoy pre-dinner drinks at the Dusty Bar before dining al fresco, selecting their meals from the à
la carte menu.
After dinner, guests are often treated to bush poetry recitals, live local entertainment along with nightly campfire entertainment of any
number of local and authentic varieties.
Day 3
Breakfast is at leisure today, at which time your guide will present a list of activity options available on this day prior to lunch. Why
not try a scenic two hour horse ride? Guests may also elect to simply relax by the pool and enjoy the grounds of the Station.
Lunch is served at the Dusty Bar & Grill with some time to rest before the adventure continues. Today's afternoon activity is
an exciting "rock-hopping" bush walk that leads guests into the
Bindoola Gorge to reveal the thriving aquatic ecosystem beneath ancient sandstone cliffs.
Upon returning to their room guests have time to relax and refresh in climate-controlled comfort ahead of their exquisite Champagne
Sunset Tour at the private HV8 Lookout. HV8 Guides will regale guests with historical anecdotes and geological information as they take
in the breathtaking view over the majestic Cockburn Range. Guests are often mesmerized as the final glimpse of the sun sinks into the
horizon. Back at the Homestead guests enjoy a wonderful cuisine, relaxed atmosphere and entertainment provided.
Day 4
Guests are welcome to meet the Home Valley Station Indigenous trainees during and after breakfast. Photos of our guests are arranged with
HV8 staff while guests and HV8 hosts begin to say their fond farewells. A 4WD safari vehicle transfers guests to the airstrip for their
scenic return flight of the East Kimberley including Lake Argyle, the Argyle Diamond Mine and Purnululu National Park and the world
heritage listed Bungle Bungle Range prior to your arrival into Kununurra.
